Bronco Nation 2010

I think Victor would rank the day his season tickets arrive right up there with Christmas! We have the best time tailgating and going to the games and look forward to it every year.

We hit the ground running with a full day of football. Up early to get everything for the big day ready to go: kids, snacks, clothes, uniforms, tailgating stuff, tickets to the game (very important to not forget!).

Conner played a great game but unfortunately his team lost by 2 points. With all of the excitement built up for the rest of day's activities he quickly forgot about the loss.

Tailgating with friends before the first big home game.
In to the stadium and waiting for kick off.
Hanging with one of my besties, Rebekah.
Me and Conner- how did he get so big?!?!
A sold out stadium- VERY loud and full of energy!
Nacho Libre and Nacho Libre Jr. were there too representing Boise State!
Even Dancing with the Stars beauty, Erin Andrews, made an appearance with ESPN College Game Day (a REALLY big deal here!) when they came to town. Sorry, my camera sucks! She is in the middle in black.

The boys (Conner, Victor, Jake, & Jeff) assume their nervous positions along the fence line.Conner's favorite part of the game, high 5ing the payers when the game is over. I think he misses when my friends on the team would wave to him from the smurf turf and call out his name. Dang them for graduating! We got our "W" and are looking forward to another fun season of tailgating and attending games to cheer on our Alma Matter. Go BIG BLUE!

Arrow of Light

Conner just earned his Arrow of Light award in cub scouts. It is the highest award a cub scout can earn. I am pretty proud of him. He actually fulfilled all of the requirements back in June, he has been working hard!

Conner's friend also earned his Arrow of Light and the two of them got their badges at the same time. The pack leader told a very nice story about the meaning of the award and how outstanding it was that the boys had earned them.
Conner also earned his Webelos badge, an aquanaut pin, and a BB gun, archery, and swimming belt loops.
Way to go Conner! We are proud of you!

Dirty Dash

Victor just completed a fun little 10K called the Dirty Dash. It is a 10K race full of obstacles. He ran with a team of 5 most of whom he works with. Teams were supposed to dress up for the race so his team decided on 80's attire.

His team before the race- nice and clean

Conner had a football game at the same time as the race so the boys and I were unable to go cheer them on. But that didn't mean we weren't thinking about Daddy. Before we headed out the door for Conner's game we sent Victor this text. To see the "after" pictures click here- choose my city in the drop down box, put in team number 53, hit enter and enjoy!

Heart ATTACK

Ohhhh my little Mason. He keeps me on my toes even in his sleep.

I check on the boys every night right before I go to bed. I don't know why I do, but it is comforting to me to make sure they are snug in their bed and covered with their blankets.

Recently I went in to check on Mason and he was no where to be found! My heart was racing so fast wondering where on earth he could be. I knew when I shut that door that it DID NOT open again until I went in to check in on him and I also heard nothing out of the ordinary on his monitor. I was seriously having the biggest panic attack I think I have had!

As my heart is racing so fast it is about to jump out of my chest and wild thoughts are going through my mind, I happen to look down and there poking out from under the bed is a tiny little foot. . . . that just happens to belong to Mason!
And this is what I have found him like the past few nights, under his bed snuggled with his little blankie he calls his "nie". At least now I know right where to look!

Labor Day

Poor Victor spent most of the long weekend working. We did manage to take advantage of a few Labor Day sales and had a good time shopping.

While Vic was slaving away at work the boys and I packed a picnic and went with some friends to a night time hot air balloon show. Our city hosts one almost every year and it is so much fun to watch. We really do live in the best city with so many fun activities and events to attend.
Playing around in the park.

Conner holding up a giant coke bottle- ha ha

Mason trying to sneak some goodies out of the picnic basket.

The little one's favorite balloon!

At night, the balloons don't take flight (it is to dangerous) but they do a "light up the night" show all to music. The boys loved it! When we got home Mason and Zack said, "Dat sooo awesome. I like the big balloons! Want to do dat again tomorrow."

A section of the long lines of hot air balloons all a glow. The line of them was probably 1/2 - 3/4 mile long. It was such a fun show!

Boise State also kicked the season off with a BIG win! We had about twenty friends over for a FABULOUS pulled pork dinner (one that took me 18 hrs to smoke!) and to cheer on the boys in blue and orange. The boys were so excited for the game and for people to come over. They are like Victor and myself, we love company! Especially when it involves a big win for BSU! The boys sing the BSU fight song like old pros, it is the cutest!

The boys anxiously awaiting for kick off and our guests to arrive.
Needless to say we are looking forward to a wonderful football season!
