Firsts

Mason hit a couple of milestones this week. He FINALLY started taking his first steps! Now that summer is upon us and we are outside for the majority of our day, I have been hoping he would be walking soon and up off the dirty ground. We have to scrub his dirty little legs every night. And let me tell you, he is all boy and his legs are filthily! Mace is like a little wibbly wobbly and he is so cute!

Mason also got his first "official" haircut. Vic was in the doghouse last week when he decided to chop off Mason's curls without telling me! So, we took him in to get cleaned up and he looks like a little man now! My baby is getting big!

Look at those crocodile tears! Getting your haircut is so tough when you are one!

Zack had a trip to the ER this week. He is all boy too and dislocated his elbow and wrist playing on my bed. His little arm was limp like jello and we felt so bad. The doc quickly popped it back into place with a couple of simple maneuvers and Zackie never even cried! Vic had a BBQ for work that day and Zack would grab his arm and tell people, "Doctor fix it."

Zackie cruisin' on his 4-Wheeler.

Our boys sure do keep us on our toes, but wouldn't dream of having it any different!

Park City Girls Weekend!

I was fortunate enough to spend a weekend with my bestie Krista! We left the kiddos and husbands at home and took off for some "Mommy Time".

Me and Krista on the historic Main Street of Park City.

We did lots of shopping, lots and lots of shopping, and ate some really good food (Happy Sumo Sushi at The Gateway and Butchers Chophouse in Park City were my favs). It was just so much fun to spend some time with my oldest and dearest bud. Can you believe she has tolerated me since we were in kindergarten?!?! Poor Krista, it just shows what a really big heart she has!

My trip highlights:

  • Seeing all of the "Welcome Home Elder" signs and families in the SLC airport when I got off my plane. I don't know them but I am excited for them and it warms my heart!
  • Trying on swimsuits with Krista and her asking me if I had planned on getting a tan.
  • All of the texts and phone calls from Vic and the boys. It feels good to be missed!
  • Hitting some AWESOME sales!
  • The onion rings at Zoom.
  • Testing out the driving capabilities of the Yaris. I love Krista's car!
  • Staying up wayyyyyy to late just BS'ing with Krista.
  • All of laughing we did. I should have abs of steel after last weekend. SHOULD is the key word. hee hee
  • The look on Krista's face when I woke her up way before our alarm was set to go off.
  • Hauling butt to the airport so I wouldn't miss my flight home & trying to get through airport security with my fifty million shopping bags that wouldn't fit in my suitcase.
  • Conner telling me how much he missed me when I was gone and that he loves me "More than I could possibly imagine!" Oh Conner, you are so cute and have no idea how deep a mother's love goes.

I was sad to miss out on the zip line. To bad it wasn't open, I guess we will save it for the second annual Krista & Al weekend next year!

Thanks so much for an awesome weekend Krista! I had a blast and am so thankful to have a best bud like you (and Rick). And thank you Vic for holding down the fort and taking such good care of the boys while I was gone. And for having the house immaculate!

Krista lookin smokin' hot in her new Oakley glasses!

Zackie

Like the other boys, Zack brings so much joy and laughter into our home. We just love him to death! He is constantly saying and doing things that have us rolling on the floor and the last month I have been able to capture a few in photos. I wanted to get them on the blog before we forget them.
About a month ago Zack came to me to totally naked with just his snow boots on. He said to me, "Go Poppa's house. Go Poppa's house Ma!" I laughed and told him if we were going to go to Poppa's house that we needed to pack and put some clothes on. And he responded, "No just boots!"

I threw a diaper on him for his picture. He loves his snow boots! Vic wants to get him a pair of cowboy boots!

Whenever Conner is getting ready for scouts so is Zack. When he sees Conner putting on his uniform Zackie makes a mad dash to his room to get his uniform (Conner's old Bobcat uniform) on too. He comes out of his room fully dressed and ready to drive Conner to his den meeting. He stays in his uniform until Conner gets home and takes his off too. It is so cute to see him all dressed up. It will be his turn for scouts before I know it.

A week or so ago Vic was out mowing the lawn with the little ones. He stopped to empty the bag on the mower and I could hear Mason but no Zack. I yelled out and asked him where Zack was and he said he came in a little while ago and he thought he was with me. My heart rushed and I ran down to find this:
Zack had hunkered over his little chair (a nasty little chair we have tried unsuccessfully to get rid of on several occasions but Zack won't let it out of his sight) and was fast asleep! Poor kid must have been worn out from helping his Dad in the yard.
