Maui Day 2

Hi my name is Allison and I like walks on the beach and time with friends. ha ha We had connecting rooms with my parents and after I would get the kids to bed me and Krista would take off for a little Mommy free time.

We would have a great time every night exploring the grounds and just chilaxing with no kids.

I swear we weren't holding hands as we strolled the beach at night. ;)

On all of our trips to Hawaii the Geckos take center stage. Conner and my mom always have a competition as to who can find the most. I have always told Conner if you catch one and they get really scared they will detach their tail. Well I finally proved him right!

Conner caught this little guy and he detached his tail right away. We felt bad, but I guess it grows back. The gross part though, after the tail came off it kept flopping around like a dead snake!
As I mentioned in the first post, the right were the beautiful garden grounds of our hotel. . . . .

And to the left was a stunning ocean view. We had lots of fun whale watching in the evenings from our lanai.

We spent most of the day shopping. We later got ready for our luau. My Mom and Dad had a dinner event for their conference so it was just our little lesbian family for luau. We took some time to snap a few fun shots before the party got started.

Love this picture of Krista!

Then it was off to the luau at our hotel. It was a good one, we enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best luau I have ever been to. The boys got up on stage and did the hula before the luau got started. They were so cute!!!!! A little girl in green stood right in front of them ruing my prime photo op. :( Guess we will just to do it again someday!
Who doesn't love a fire dancer?

Wish I could shake it like these girls. I am a white girl with no rhythm.

Aloha- Day 1

Victor and I had booked a fun family trip to Maui in December. A few weeks before we were supposed to leave he told me he wasn't going. Hummm, the idea of taking three kids to Hawaii by myself didn't sound to appealing nor did the idea of informing and devastating the kids we wouldn't be going either.

So, what is a girl to do? Well make the best of the situation! I gave my best bud in the whole world a call and she took his ticket! What would I ever do without Krista?!?! She was a life saver! She not only took care of my kids but also helped eased a mind that could not help to think about Victor's unadmirable decisions and behaviors with his new found friend. We had many great laughs and I am sure it was not easy to leave her own children at home and take a trip with mine. In fact when I called to fill her in on my life and asked her to go I said, "Would you mind looking like my lesbian lover with our adopted children and take a trip to Maui with me?"

I put on my best face forward for my kiddos and saved the tears for when they were in bed. We had fun despite the circumstances and the kids beg every day to go back!
We left Boise and flew to meet Gram, Poppa, and Krista in the SLC airport and were off (Gram & Poppa go for a conference and meetings, but we go for play)! The kids actually travel fantastic!
On the trip over we were still all recovering from some strange bug. Mason threw up all over himself on our way to hotel! We stayed at the Grand Wailia. It was fabulous! They filmed the new movie Just Go With It with Adam Sandler there and the grounds were beautiful!

Finally there and checking into our hotel! Look at Mason's arm-yummy!

The first day all the kids wanted to do was hit the beach! We literally stayed at the beach and pool ALL day! The kids were in heaven.

We all worked up an appetite, got cleaned up and headed out to find a restaurant from my travel book, Stella Blues. My food and a couple of the others was great. But a few members of our party were not so lucky. Wonderful first day!
Mason loves his Poppa more than anything. I am extremely thankful that he is someone my boys can look up to as a positive male role model.
This is how I spent almost all of the trip. Both little ones either on my lap at the same time, or one on each hip. Love those boys!
*Disclaimer- please keep in mind I share a bit of personal info in some of these posts. I only do so because my blog is private (not like a facebook for the whole world to see) and almost all of you are either family or VERY close friends. Please don't make my comments/feeling subject to gossip. Thanks.

New Blog

I believe in the sanctity of marriage. I believe it is about ups and downs but you have a commitment to each other, and your children, to do all you can to make it work. I hold very strong to my values of honesty, integrity, and being faithful to your spouse. I am extremely heartbroken that my husband does not share any of these beliefs with me.

With tears in my eyes and a heavy heart I am letting you all know there will be changes to our blog. It will no longer be "Life With Our Boys" but rather "Life With MY Boys".

It is an extremely difficult time for me and my boys as Victor has chosen a path we do not understand. Thanks sooooo much to all of you for your love, support, and understnading. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have all of you in my life. The boys and I are blessed to have you.
